Keeper of the Cove

Keeper of the Cove captures the charm of the Maine coast and the elusive puffins that frequent remote Seal Island. Measuring 8½" x 11" (10¼" x 12¾" framed), the piece is created using both ceramic and glass tiles, bringing rich texture and vibrant color to the scene.

The puffin's bright beak and expressive stance stand in contrast to the rugged coastline, lighthouse and rising sun beyond. Each tile is placed to evoke the movement of the waves, the glow of coastal light and the wild beauty of Downeast Maine. The combination of materials adds depth and shimmer, giving the artwork a lively, tactile presence.
